Sport Relief

Well done to all the children and staff for taking part in our 'Mile a Day' to raise money for sport relief.
We calculated that the whole schools' combined effort would be the distance from Mulbarton to Cairo!
Thank you to all who sponsored us.

Year 5/6 Basketball development league

Well done to all involved in the basketball league. Another amazing opportunity provided by the SSP.
We didn't win the trophy but we played really well and were a credit to our school.

Dance Showcase @The Open Norwich

Some of our year 2 children took part in a dance showcase organised by the Norwich SSP.
The theme was 'Top of the Pop's. We chose to dance to the upbeat song 'Best Day of my life' by the American Authors.

Lisa from the SSP had been working with the children every week since October to help them choreograph and learn their Dance routine.

When the day finally arrived we were all so excited. The children had their own dressing area back stage, got their hair and make-up done and performed twice in front of a huge paying audience.

Such an amazing experience that they will remember forever.

Year 5/6 cup winners

A second trophy for the school comes from the year 5 and 6 boys.

Amazing teamwork and communication meant that 33 goals were scored, and only 1 conceded, across the whole tournament - just 6 games!

Well done everyone!

Norwich SSP Year 2 Multiskills Festival

At Mulbarton Primary we are a member of the Norwich School Sports Partnership.
This allows us to take our children to many events including the development leagues, competitions, dance shows and festivals.

The Year 2 children enjoyed going to Easton & Otley College to take part in a Multiskills event ran by the Sports Leaders.

There were loads of exciting sporting activities that allowed children to show and develop many different physical skills.

Well done to Alfie and Jacob for getting the Sportsmanship award for being supportive and helping their team.

A fun morning had by all!

Year 1 and Recepetion children can look forward to taking part in a similar event later in the year.
